First Date was adorable and hilarious. The $35 balcony seats actually aren’t bad (once you get up the 30 flights of stairs to get to your seat). Totally worth checking out! Seriously, you should have your pulse checked if you don’t laugh out loud.

Third time’s the charm! Another superb performance and I finally saw Arthur Darvill at the stage door (he signed in black over the “ill” in Playbill). I need to start dragging people to the show with me so I have someone to assure me I don’t look like I’ve been crying and to take pictures of me with the cast. Especially Erikka. I <3 her.

Just bought a ticket to see First Date Sunday night. Got a cheap balcony seat - If I enjoy the show immensely, I might splurge on a better seat and go again.

I just read an awesome article about Broadway stage door that I think everyone should check out. It discusses the actors’ side of things as well as the audience. My favorite excerpt:

"Most of the responses I received from actors were positive. Like Anthony Lee Medina of Spring Awakening for example, “Before touring I stage doored every show I went to. It was a ritual that I loved! Seeing these actors out of costume being completely normal people and just being so thankful that people are waiting to see them.” Many others expressed similar sentiments saying things like, “We have to remember that we were once the people at the stage door or the people in a small town listening to soundtracks and collecting playbills,” which came from Kate Pazakis of South Pacific."

Don’t take pictures in a Broadway theatre. It’s rude. It’s also illegal. And if you do, at least show a bit of shame and don’t share them online in an attempt to get notes. It’s tacky.

I need help:

I am going to do lottery for a Saturday matinee show. Which show should I do: Matilda, Kinky Boots, Wicked, or Newsies? And why?

I don’t think I’ve shared this…
My signed Playbill from Jane Lynch’s last performance of Annie on July 14, 2013.

I don’t think I’ve shared this…

My signed Playbill from Jane Lynch’s last performance of Annie on July 14, 2013.

It’s sad that so many people need to be reminded of the last part.
